Chiang Mai Thailand AAC Plant 50,000 m³/Year

In June 2014, a building materials investor in Chiang Mai, Thailand, completed the commissioning of a Dongyue 50,000 m³/year AAC block production line

— marking Dongyue's second major project in Southeast Asia following the 2009 Vietnam Hanoi plant.

Thailand's construction sector had been expanding steadily through the early 2010s, driven by housing demand in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and other

secondary cities. Lightweight wall materials were gaining regulatory and market traction. The investor saw an opening: local builders needed an

alternative to traditional clay brick that met Thailand's growing energy-efficiency standards, and AAC blocks fit that gap.

After evaluating equipment proposals from several suppliers across China and Southeast Asia, the investor chose Dongyue. The deciding factors were

Dongyue's track record in Vietnam — where the 50,000 m³ Hanoi plant had run reliably for five years — and Dongyue's recent acquisition of German AAC

process technology from AAC-CONCEPT GmbH in 2013, which brought a measurable jump in cutting precision and raw material efficiency.
